Flashed the 1200AC with DD-WRT firmware, and played it for several days. I like it very much. Here is my final setup: house router: TrendNet 1200AC with DD-WRT firmware. Linksys EA9200 is connected to TrendNet 1200AC functioning like an AP. In fact, it's still running in DHCP router mode, except it only handles all wireless connections for my entire house. I do not want to run EA9200 as a true 26/01/2012 A DD-WRT build that’s router-specific is called a “trailed” build. Trailed builds contain model-specific headers that allow flashing from the router’s stock firmware, and will always have the model number of the router in the filename. To upgrade stock firmware to DD-WRT, use the Flashing procedure below. Only use trailed builds (with E4200 in the file name) to avoid bricking. AFTER initial flash, only use trailed OR nv60k builds - NOT nv64k nor generic builds. K3X is recommended once you are running dd-wrt - only use a trailed build to flash from K26 to K3X. Newer K3X builds may not have a nv60k.bin build, in this case use
